Are we not to be rich? Is owning a lot a bad thing in the Lord’s eyes? No, Jacob owned a lot because the Lord blessed him. But Jacob knew that what he owned was a blessing of the Lord. Do you understand that what you own is a blessing of the Lord? Do you long for the riches? Or, do you long for the blessings of the Lord? How are those two different things?

No one has ever seen God face to face, but Moses got close enough that his face shone. Do you put God behind you, or do you try to get closer to him? He will shine the light in the darkness of our heart, if we will seek him and search his word. Do you seek the Lord with all your heart?
